After Care
So now you have had your extensions look after them! I will have gone though
all this at the fitting but just so you remember?
Don’t wash your hair for two days so the glue can set really well.
Get the tangles out VERY carefully before you wash, using a wig brush or hair
extension brush, the hair extensions are strong but don’t get ragging a
normal brush though!
When you wash your hair wash it standing up in the shower. (not the bath
please ladies your high maintenance now!)
Dilute your shampoo a bit in your hand first, don’t get plonking the whole
lot on your head or your head will itch!
Rinse it out TWICE as much as usual you really need to make sure its out.
Just condition the ends don’t put it ANYWHERE near the glue it will melt.
Don’t towel dry, squeeze the hair instead.
Please, please don’t brush your hair when it is wet it will damage it.
Blow dry hair gently.
Use hair straigteners and wig or hair extension brush to finish.
It is normal to get some shredage don’t be alarmed its more when you are
styling and is unavoidable.
If you lose a bond it’s when your styling you hair and its fine you have
about 200 of the things so a few are fine.
Every 5 washes go though every row and pull each bond away from each other
and you will never get matting please do this its very important.
After awhile if you feel your hair is getting a little thinner, phone me for a
maintenance.
Have regular maintenances about every 8 weeks to keep your extensions looking
fab.
If you go swimming a lot don’t get your hair wet at all.
Chlorine and seawater will damage bonds
You can colour your re-growth, but try your best to avoid colouring the bonds,
excess dye too often can weaken the glue. Dying your hair once every 4-6 weeks
will be fine but anymore than this and your extensions may not last as long.
Expect some discomfort for the first two weeks, while your scalp gets
used to the extra weight.
Tie your hair back when you go to sleep.
Brush your hair all the time! Keep it looking nice.
